A self-identified sex worker was apprehended last week following the theft of nearly $300K from a man’s cryptocurrency account. The two encountered each other at a club on the Las Vegas strip.
Zapri Outlaw was apprehended on Thursday for abduction, conspiracy to carry out theft, and theft.
Upon being arrested, Outlaw informed officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), “she [sells] her vagina… and she hasn’t done anything,” as stated in an arrest report.
Outlaw attended Las Vegas Justice Court in front of Judge Daniel Westmeyer. He established bail at $10,000. She posted bail and is scheduled to appear in court in April.
The event started on November 22. The outlaw and multiple other suspects encountered the individual at the unidentifiable strip club. It seems that one or more of the suspects may have drugged the victim.
Outlaw and additional suspects then proposed to transport the man back to a property in Summerlin, Nev. He entered an SUV with the individuals involved.
However, rather than heading to Summerlin, the SUV entered a parking lot located about a block from the strip club.
Subsequently, an occupant in the SUV brandished a gun and ordered the victim to exit the vehicle. As soon as he was outside, the victim noticed that his watch, cellphone, and wallet had been taken. His recollection of the night's events was hazy.
Following the event, he realized that someone had utilized his credit card for shopping and to take funds from the crypto account.
Up to this point, just Outlaw has been charged. According to Las Vegas TV station KLAS, the other suspects have outstanding warrants for grand larceny.
